Hi guys new member here although I have been lurking through the threads for a while!
This winters project is going to be getting a block workshop put up down at my house so I can bring my projects away from my parents and upgrade from the old sealey supermig
I have only MIG welded before however I really want to try my hand at a bit of tig mainly on exhausts ect so no real need for the option to weld ali at present.
I have decided to go for a multi process machine and after scouring through the threads it seems like the best choice for me would be the Parweld XTM182i , I don't really feel there is any need for me to go for the bigger 252.
what my question is, been as I am starting a fresh and also never having touched a tig before in my life:
What recommendations of kit to get me started with the Parweld XTM - torches , tips , pedals anything else I may need? recommendations of what gas to use? (just used bog standard C02 with the MIG)
Also helmet recommendations? I have been thinking of going for an R-Tech Speedmaster XL read a few reviews people seem to rate them ?
I dont know how feasible it is but Im aiming to come in under £1000 to get me up and started.
Cheers in advance
