In-patterned concrete

Hi

I'm renovating a bungalow and have a question on the title .

I'm more than capable of making a jig to form the square set to imprint the yorkstone block dimensions

But does anyone know how I could form the riven / un smooth pattern without buying the real moulds ?

i wouldnt advise it as it tends to collect water and if you are in an area that freezes its slippery

best way i can think of is to use a rubber mat

Appreciate the advice on slipperiness but it's for either a caravan hard standing or hard standing for a mgb roadster project one day ... If life doesn't take a twist .

Good video and it did fill In a few blanks ... But Other then showing me how the pros do it didn't answer my question

(There is a set of stamping mats on ebay at at 3.5k (SOD THAT) ! , two interlocking grids of 10mm sq box, pointed pointy bit down in diff paterns 1m sq each rotated 90 deg Weill give me the grid ... It's the riven forming I'm struggling with for ideas

ive updated and given you how to make the stamp mold

theres 2 types of molds one is your stone pattern on a rubber mat followed by a stone shape mold

the other type is a mold of both stamp pattern and also stone shape mold

the latter gives people more choice on what stone pattern they want to use on there concrete

however a stone or paving slab patern gets 2 uses out of it

so id buy this

for there pattern trim off the edges

make a 5mm steel frame to look like paving stones pattern

is the cheapest way of doing it
