In Memorium

It's a year ago today that the Forum lost one of it's most prolific and respected contributors, John Reid aka Slim_Boy_Fat.

He left us all in a most dignified way and is still truly missed, certainly by me and I'm sure many others.

It's nice to be reminded everytime I open the Jokes thread as he started it back in Feb 2018.

I'll be taking a wee dram in his memory tonight.

John very kindly invited me to drop in for a cup of tea on my trip to Orkney - sadly the trip never happened, but I never forgot the offer to a stranger and am 100 percent sure I'd have enjoyed meeting him in the flesh - the world needs more SBFs. I often wish I'd just changed my plans and gone for a road trip just for the hell of it - I'm sure meeting him would have been the highlight. sadly just another reminder to seize the day and do things just because you never know when you'll get another chance and there are too many regrets in life. I've now reached a stage in life where I'm determined to tick off as many items on my bucket list before it's too late..

Maybe it's time for a thread on what people have on their bucket list - what do people think?

Ref the Bucket List idea : Great idea but somewhat open to fantasy land and will probably break the " keep it clean" ethic.
