ok all bits and bobs landed today so like a kid on Christmas morning i started getting it all set up..
my first few welds and a few more for practice.
Then i decided to make a stand for the bottle to put on to the welder ,Out of sum old scrap i had lying around .....
only question is the volume of gas im using is 10ltr per ??
i turned regulator up to ..
to about 15 so when i pulled trigger i got 10 flow out of it .. if that sound correct,,
but their is a good gush of gas coming out am i using 2 much gas ??

probably too much it is measured in litres per minute you would be better off getting a flowmeter the guage you have shown is pressure not flow

you either want the one that states mig or the one that attaches to the gas shroud on the gun which you just use to set the flow then remove

Yes go for one that's goes on the shroud they are about 6 quid and measures the gas exactly where you need it. Aim for about 8lpm and see if it's clean. (Start at low flow rates and turn up) no point in giving it away.
