I’m sure this has been asked before - 1 argonsheild universal bottle for 2 mig welders?

Hi all,

We are currently struggling to balance out the bottle use (have 2) so was wondering if you could get a regulator that has 2 feeds to mig welders? Also, if the regulator was digital that would also be amazing!

Any help or suggestions welcomed

I would think you would just need one regulator with a Y Piece and two flow meters.

If the regulator is turned up more than the combined flow then they should.

It will work, but would need the regulator to be of a type that delivers a set outlet pressure, with the output feeding a Y-piece, or manifold with flowmeters and flow regulating needle valves in each branch. Regulators that have output gauges calibrated in flow rates (e.g. litres/min) would not be suitable, since these are intended for single-station working; multiple concurrent users would result in the starvation of each other, or excessive flow to a single welder if the regulator was "turned up" to compensate for multiple users.

Use your normal regulator, send the output to a T or Y piece. Sent that on to 2x second stage regulators. (or more)
Connect a single second stage to each welder.
To make sure there is no gas surge etc set the 1st regulator to 1.5x the total pressure of both secondary regs.
