Ok, don't rub it in! I'm 38 and half way to worn out.

£200 is going to get cut in half just for the gas unless you know someone in the pub trade that can get you some cheap CO2.

He skin fabs leyland, we have an adaptor for the argon bottles, argon to c02 or argon to argon, open both bottles up and fills the small ones to 100 bar, They only charge us £5 so it's win win.

Im only new myself but ive been told to workout roughly how long a tank of mig gas will last you...find out the overall pressure bar of tank e.g 200bar....multiply that my the tank size say 20Litre to get total PSI which is total 4000....average psi used per minute welding is 15psi so divide the 4000psi by 15psi is roughly 266minutes of continuous weld

Mixing your units a bit there. 200 bar x 20 lt = 4000 lt (4 cu mt.). Average litres per minute 15 lpm (I use about 8 lpm) gives you your 266 min. No PSI in there.

Quick reference, Boyle's law:

P¹ x V¹ = P² x V²

So for pressure, P¹, of 200 bar in a volume, V¹, of 20ltr, reducing to atmospheric pressure, P², of 1 bar gives a respective volume, V², of 4000ltr.
