Hey guys
I joined up before my college course and now i have finished it but never done any welding,it was general engineering for the 1st year.

I have now passed that with merit and had 2 whole days watching and bugging the welder at work if i could have ago. So when it was quiet at work i took the chance to have a go at abit of tig welding on aluminium and here is the results.... Please bear in mind i have had 8 hours tig welding experience in m life!

Main thing is to CLEAN CLEAN CLEAN the material i have learnt.

Just fused the edges together 2 x 2.5mm sheet

Alot of runs just trying to get my travel speed and puddles worked out

Yes thats my welding mask.

Im hoping to get more time on the practicing side before they let me loose on paid work. Fingers crossed for the future.

Those are looking good Dan, they say if you can tig weld good with ally then other metals should be easier.

As with anything mate, its all practice, you need to practice loads and soon you'll get the knack and the weld will become even better

Thanks for the comment. Its trying to get the time in to practice in between jobs.
