ideas for a bearing oven

Anyone got any suggestions of a suitable little oven that could be used to warm bearings up?......i think a micro-wave would be a tad expensive for the job, although handy for warming up me pasty

have a look on ebay for a knackered oven as in dead grill or top oven only working and take it apart and make a frame up for it

yes they do, my microwave instructions say you can put metal in, i regularly put tin foil in mine!

Mine too, but the metal won't get hot because microwaves rely on the resistance of a material for heating.

You might be able to use a microwave "hot pot" like they use for melting glass.

We have an skf bearing heater at work ,it is just a thermo-controlled hotplate up to 200deg c ...

What's wrong with the old way of dropping bearing in a bean tin, cover with oil
and heat under flame.
