There's also a 297, which is 2.2W.As said before either a 501 or a 504. 501 is 5w and normally used as side light bulb. 504 3w and normally used for dash lights etc.
12vWhat voltage?
Thanks, been at it with the magnifier but no luckThere's also a 297, which is 2.2W.
The markings on these bulbs often come off all too easily. Sometimes it's possible to make out seemingly invisible markings, with the right lighting and a decent amount of magnification.
Sorry I should have given all this info in the op.What vehicle is it from, and which bulb? Instrument panel or sidelight? It could also be a 504.
Never seen a 297. I used to sell a lot of 286 bulbs which were smaller than the 501 and only 1.2w.There's also a 297, which is 2.2W.

I've a couple here, which might be 297. The same physical size as the 501 type, but marked 12V 2W. I think they were bought for an older style car instrument panel.Never seen a 297. I used to sell a lot of 286 bulbs which were smaller than the 501 and only 1.2w.
