Ice cream vans.

I know some of you work on some weird and wonderful stuff, so wondered if any of you work on ice cream vans?

Reason for asking is that I bought some stuff which comes with a load of pulleys, hubs/housings and shafts mostly Carpigiani I'm told. A quick squint on eBay shows that it's quite pricey gear used. Once I pick it up and sort out the bits I want need if anyone knows someone who they would be useful too I can let them go for humble money.

That's the plan, I just thought I'd mention it on here first in case it helps someone out with stuff they work on. Pulleys can be ridiculously expensive so it might save someone a few bob.

my old Morris J, I had to sell before I cam here is now an ice cream truck....somewhere near Bristol.....

There was considerably more than I'd anticipated "some pulleys" would be.

I'll need to have dig through but there looks to be some generally useful stuff as well as 'Ice Cream Van Unobtanium'. A bunch of taper locks, drive dogs, shafts, bearing housings, pulleys of all shapes sizes and types.

Some are a bit flakey, there are a few cones and there's the odd one that's wafer thin.

Exactly this. Had a guy that wanted parts made. Quoted. Got told ,” Oh no, that’s too expensive, my guy charges me £xxx” My prices were only marginally more expensive. Told him to go to”his” guy then….” Oh no, he doesn’t want to do them for that price any more”. Total bellend ,got marched out my workshop very quickly

Ah the "I want you to work for nothing so that I can make more money." customers. The one thing that never ceases to surprise me is that they always look shocked when they get told to friar tuck off. Surely they must be used to it?
