i work with okuma lathes and hitatchi seiki cnc mills, none of them are in par with that though lol

Actually, if I had one it'd be going quite sharpish. I don't know what they're worth, but I think it'd be enough to not want to keep it gathering dust for the rare times I'd need it. For any normal hobby job I'd rather have an old lathe worth a few hundred quid that doesn't require a program for a simple operation, and I think I could find some uses for the couple of quid I'd have spare!

Two CNC memories, A school trip to the Mach 80 machine show with the metalwork class and standing in awe watching CNC machines in operation for the first time and 3 years later seeing a large CNC mill installed at Petters that replaced two lathes and operators machining tractor gearbox adaptors. The Union wasn't happy!

Cutting the waterways by the look of it. I like the metalbutter video around 1:18 and again later when the arm is moving and looks like ED209 from Robocop getting jiggy with it!
