I need a good general purpose rod

Can anyone recommend a good general purpose rod for welding wrought iron, I haven't done any serious welding for 14 yrs and am out of touch with what is good and what isn't.
I'll be welding from 2mm to 12mm, can't see me needing to weld anything thicker.

Any help would be welcome.

Do you mean mild steel in a "wrought iron" sort of style?

3.2mm E6013 would be a good general sort of rod.

There are a couple of threads on the different brands of rods and which are better.

Rob hi ; The Best electrode in my opinion is E-7018 , if you have a DC. Welder !!
