Hi
I am a complete newcomer to welding. I have never tried stick , MIG or TIG infact the nearest I ever got to welding was silver soldering .
I am building a 1/4 scale traction engine and have decided its time I bought a welder and learned to use it , so as you can guess I will have a lot of questions for you soon. I have an account now with B.O.C. and I have my bottle of Pureshield Argon sat here waiting, I pick my inverter up on Wednesaday hopefully
I have ordered a Thermadyne Thermal Arc 150 TE which is DC only ( I dont ever envisage welding Aluminium) . It says it has HF which I think I understand the reason for but something that has me baffled is it says it has 2T/4T function.
What on earth is 2T / 4T ? and why would I use it ?
Regards
Don
