I can weld! A bit!

Did some actual TIG welding this week. I was about to give up and go back to arc but i realised it was really my glasses that were the problem. If you can't see the puddle, you've got no idea what's happening My welder is only a lift TIG and it ends up being a scratch tig because I don't have a switch on the torch to turn it on and off. Doesn't matter scratch is fine for now. Anyway really happy and thanks to the forum for all of the welding help around the place

Sure does, now I can throw my chipping hammer and wire brush away! Not really but pretty happy. TIG is actually cheaper than MIG this way and I can finally weld without slag and weld thinner metals. It's so precise, like going from an axe to a scalpel. I'm sure there's plenty of headaches ahead but it's great fun.
