I am restoring my old time trial bike thought you might like this work

I was a school boy time trial rider and i have my old bike from 1968 hand built in Cardiff by a CW Alexander
i had a look for the frame number and found this NERVEX number Googled it and found this some really nice work thought it would be appreciated on this forum

A friend of mine is doing old bikes and he has a few restored Holdsworths. He has just received an Aende frame made by Alan Pongo Braithwaite and will be building it up with period parts.

I cannot believe the price of old cycling parts they are through the roof but i don't need much thank goodness

I remember some of those on Raleigh bikes, I or my family owned. I always thought they were produced in house.
My father was an acquaintance of the Taylor bothers, also mentioned in the thread & I once had occasion to visit their workshop in Church Rd, Stockton on Tees (I was trying to source some bicycle thread bolts for an old car). They didn't have what I wanted but you couldn't get away without being shown round the workshop (for two hours they were all great talkers) .
On my trip, they seemed to be just brazing the frames together, no signs of the lugs mentioned in the thread but maybe the technology had moved on. They did tell me however, they had numerous Americans visiting the workshop & camping out on the doorstep waiting for the brothers to arrive, bespoke bicycle plans in hand.

Raleigh had a special department for their racing team bikes, Raleigh sbdu in Ilkeston and they fetch an incredible price. There's one on eBay with all the Campagnolo 50th anniversary gear on for £2,900
