Hyundai generators

Anybody any experience of these? Im looking for a genny with 6.5kva+ output with AVR to run an esab caddy mig for site work.

make sure before you buy that the genny can handle the start up current from the welder, if not it will just blow the avr

I'd be interested to hear more about this,i started a thread recently about a 'wolf' generator of similar cap' that was incredibly cheap that one was a new product so difficult to evaluate.

That looks just the same as the Aldi one we have at work.

I did a repair on one of the smaller Hyundai suitcase generators that was run once then stored for a year. The fuel tap seal had disintergrated and blocked the fuel supply, the tap was very poor quality. The overall build quality wasn't all that good and I would not have been happy had I bought one and paid the price I have seen them advertised for. This may not be typical of the whole range of Hyundai generators but it would make me look closer if in the market for one.
