hypertherm problems

I have a hypertherm powermax 350, that has been faultless untill the other day.

I'd done some cutting about 5-10 mins solid in 6mm, i then hung the torch up and left the machine on, i did some more marking out and picked the torch back up and it wouldn't strike up.

none of the lights are on the front but the fan runs when i turn the machine on, and when i press the trigger the air solenoid is triggered.

i've taken the cover off and air lineed it out and checked allthe conections i can see.

Does anyone have any thoughts or advise before i send it in for repair.

Does it have the series of red//green lights on the front?

Not any of the lights on?

Is there a problem with the electrode or other consumables on the torch. Ours senses if the electrode is loose or the cap not on properly. Check, then switch off and back on to reset.
Worth a look.

There are no lights on the front at all.

I always use genuine consumables and they are fine,

I've tried taking the torch to bits and reassembling, there's no difference.

Well i've got my machine back from repair.

the central upright in the chassis had chafed the back of the front pcb causing a short in the pcb.

the repair guy said it's quite a common fault, and worryingly said it had taken him a long time to find a new front pcb as hypertherm no longer carry stock of them.

This is where the chafing occured

And this is where is burnt out.
