Hydraulics monitoring/diagnostics banggood

Hi guys and girls further on from my questions about parts catalogs has anyone used a kit such as this https://banggood.app.link/o0ERfaOuD5 from bang good. We would call these mini mess ports, gauges and hoses ussually used for charging/checking nitrogeon accumulators and pressures at various points through a hydraulics system on the ship and was after some for checking the pressures around a possible project id like to get stuck into in the not too distant future and for a bit of diagnostic work on plant and tractors etc. Would you recomend such a kit from bang good or im i just better off biting the bullet and going looking for some thing from a branded manufacture like we have in the ship.

we had something similar all over the hydraulic systems on windturbines......
our's had a dust cap and u just screwed in the gauge, it had a valve in the term hyd side so it didnt leak....bit like a tyre valve....
so when u finished u just unscrewed the gauge and put the cap back on.....
We supplied our own gauges, very expensive as the firm was ISO 2002 rated......
but norm gauges would be good enough I guess.....
1/2 the time with this sorta kit u dont need it all......
just buy what ya want as ya want......a decent Hyd place will have the terms....look at these...

Gauges are a start, you will end up with a bucket load of adaptors,reducers and other oddsnsodds to compliment them. Most useful bit of kit for hydraulics diagnostics are the flow/pressure and temperature combined units, pipe in line and they tell you everything you need to know in real terms.

The gauges are certainly handy for fault finding and setting up hydraulics, the set is only as good as the gauge calibration and repeatedly which with anything Chinese is always an unknown.
Add an IR thermometer and it would probably be a useful set for setting up and fault finding. I have a good set at work but I can't say I've ever needed them at home.
What are you planning? A 360 rebuild or something?

Aye its the same type of things for us, might just check the local hydarulics supply when im home.

The project is im wanting to try to build using the original engine and a hydraulics system to build a mild hybrid system for my series land rover that possibly will engage and disengage through the power take off port on the transfer case. Also hopeing to do a bot of side work in my time off fixing machinery for people.

gauges from flowfitonlines ebay site 63mm 1/4 bsp, pressures from 1 bar to 690bar (10000psi) each £8.39 cheaper in quantity
stauff test fittings start at £4.90 from RS
the hoses are roughly £20 each from either supplier
both also have male/female adaptors with side tapping for test point
