Hydraulic ram parts

Hi all,

A new customer has just dropped this little beast off as it needs a new clevis (if thats the correct name?) welding on. Now I have worked on a few rams before but only welding the old clevis (?) back on so was wondering if anyone has any ideas as to where these can be purchased?

I also need to get the ram xray tested as it is for the rigs to act as a testing pulling force for some reason or other. Does anyone know where I can get procedures for welding the clevis back on. I have been trying the place where I do my codings but they must be shut on mondays.

Failing any of the above does anyone know of a firm in the northwest who could help out?

Theres a place in Accrington who do ram repairs. A farmer I know had some new end plates welded onto 20T rams there. Haven't got a name for you sorry.

That's the spade end, the clevis is the bit with 2 plates

Thanks chaps, ive just a M&R Hydraulics in Ellesmere Port, they repair another customers rams and also have a huge fabrication facility. I may just sub the job out and put a mark up on it for picking up/dropping off if the price is right.

I've just came home from up north after a holiday, I'm always interested in jack anchor pins of a sensible size, possibly next time I'm up in Chesterfield.

We'll have to meet at a later date...possibly

Plus, I've had a couple to do myself lately.
