Hyd jack oil

Anybody know what type of oil this is. Mineral or synthetic, mono or multigrade?

Just mineral monograde oil. Nothing special. its usually about SAE 30

ISO 32 hydraulic oil, ATF will be fine if you don't want to end up with a container of oil you'll never use for owt else. Engine oil will work but SAE30 is a bit thick.

As penfold said, ISO 32 hydraulic oil would be best. Using engine oil instead of hydraulic oil can lead to premature failure of the seals so I would avoid that!

That was an old trick in the garages years ago but as you say it ruins the seals. Although not cheap I have bought some off the bay.
