Hunting knife

Yea left it in the porch for a couple of months to dry slowly. If they start to radial crack I bin them.
there is a way of stabilizing but i'm not that deep into it .
Just made the knife for a change ,something different.
I like to forage discarded bits and make something useful out of what I find.
eg I found two old bikes welded them together to make a tandem, me and the grand kids and hours of fun on it and not a button or battery in site.

Do you mind sharing how you ground the blade, do you have a fancy belt grinder or just hand tools, if so do you have. Jig to file at the correct angle??

Also how did you harden and temper the blade

Hello parm sorry for the late reply .I cobbled together a 2" belt sander but the belts are quite hard to get on this side of the pond,so I make a lot of my own scarf edges and bond with power bond 806 stick on a backing strip and away you go .
I grind by hand but intend to make a grinding table fixture.
