nearly choked on it today working at a local school and the maintenance lad has a lowered bmw I call him mr b for short . my van battery went flat and had to ask him to put my jump leads on his car err err are u sure he said and laughed and got his camera out showing van being jumped off if u wait long enough u allways get your own back

Ha ha. Reminds of me ripping into one of the sparkys at work for his 12quid 8-32 spanner set. I used to give him grief every time the things come out his box till the occasion arose where I had to go to him (tail between my legs) and ask to borrow one because mine was too broad by about 2mm to get in to the tight gap.
Talk about a grin on his face. He still asks me when he brings them out if I wanna chuck that snap on crap out and borrow his more useful tools. T##t!!!!!

one of the sites i worked on took the mick out of a lad for months for having some cheap spanners, I think his mum bought them for his first day.... the laughing soon subsided when all the chrome came off them and he had spaners that could be used in an ATEX area as the metal underneath was good for that non sparking kind of thing... the rest of the lads had forked a small fortune to get ATEX rated spanners.

I'd say that battery is causing you to eat a fair chunk of that pie.
Probably time you slung it for a new en.

I know what the problem is. if I leave rear van door open for an hour light comes on and I only work a couple of miles from home and may stop and start 5 times in a couple of hours . it don't get long enough to charge up

A mate uses a van for his plumbing business, he's fitted a couple of strips of LED lights in the back, now gets a lot more light but it takes very little power.

My ex has a large camper van and fitted a split-charging system so she can use the interior lights etc when it's parked without flattening the main battery.
The van charges 2 batteries when it's driving but only takes power from the "spare" when the engine isn't running.

( the ASC bit in the pic is just an automatic relay with a fancy name)

It might be worth thinking about LED interior lights or a split-charge system for yours...

Pickup back interior light is powered by batteries. Cool I can run them down beach fishing out the back and still start up on a full battery.

I believe so, listening to him interview Ken Dodd was one of the funniest things I've heard in a while

Also my dad did actually give me a set of jump leads recently
