Hello everyone, I've been browsing this forum for a while taking in the abundance of advice and thought it was time to introduce my self. I was about to start a welding course at Gateshead college but the course has been pulled due to lack of interest But heyho, I'm saving for a mig welder and will try and use the info available on this forum to self learn. Don't worry about the course if you are just going to be using it for general work/repairs and car work etc, there is more than enough info here to get you going!

Surprised the course was pulled due to lack of interest. I've been trying to get back onto the welding course at Derwentside College (Consett) for the last three years and only made it in this year to do Tig as I went to enrol two days after admissions opened at the start of July. Even then my first choice night was already full.

I've been trying to speak to some one\anyone at South Tyneside College ref evening courses for over a week now, they keep telling me someone will call, but its not happened yet
