How would you extend this?

Hi all

I am currently trying to raise the bars on my NSR and have hit a stumbling block.

The interwebs want £170+ for clip on bar risers.

This is what I have to work with:

Any ideas how you resourceful bunch would extend the vertial piece off the ring clamp by about 0.5 inches?

cut and weld a piece in . but i wouldnt fancy it myself wouldnt give u much confidence riding round at over the ton or any other speed i think my lifes worth more than 170 quid

I'd probably look at drilling the top yoke and put some risers and straight bars on it streetfighter style.

I would go with risers and bars as well, but I prefer a nice pair of Hebo bars..
You could just drop the yokes;-)
I make a pair of risers and weld or bolt them on to the yoke.

Half inch is a pretty small change. Could look for bars off other bikes with same stanchion diameters. Or drill yokes & use risers etc as above, though normally that'd change a fair bit more than a half inch.
