How would I hold this.

The case in the picture is a 243, it is only an example. It is a 308 we are drilling

Having an empty cartridge with a bullet fitted is only a potential problem if it's a section 5 (designed to expand) bullet, traditional military ball (Full Metal Jacket) bullets are just lumps of lead coated in copper in the eyes of the law and can be held by anyone.

To the OP, I'll happily chuck in the lathe and drill a few of these for you if you want. I've got plenty of .243 here but would need any .308 sending down.

both the same case just necked down in the .243, you realise you can buy the ready modified case for your tooling?

Hi kent, I know you can buy modified cases but it is better if you use a case that is expanded to your own rifles chamber.
