Not being an expert myself, thought I’d ask the collective.
Looking at buying a decent pillar drill. Has to be single phase and really don’t want modern or chinesium.
so quite a few, such as Meddings, Fobco etc all seem to have a radial of damage where someone has overdrilled the workpiece and gone into the table. It really irks me and offends my OCD, properly makes me twitch.
But, presumably anything worth having is cast with the working face having been surface ground. Is there a way of welding this and re-grinding it? I’ve never welded such things?
