thats nowt .gas board round our way dig up holes because of leaks cordon it all off , fire extinguishers handy no smoking signs up all round digging away with fag in his mouth

Anyhow I have a better way! take your bottle at least 500 yards away, shoot it then use the hole to purge it with water BTW it don't work they still blow up but at least its not between your legs at the time

Heard or read about someone removing the valve with a bolster & hammer but forgot to remove gas first, the najjers did not recover for quite a few weeks, & numerous hospital visits must have fitted in those cut outs used as handles \ valve shroud as it slid smoooothly between legs.
Darwin will out the end.
