how to get this gunk off my axle

Hi there, wondering if any of you have any notions how to get rid of this oil/grease/mine-dirt mixture?

have gone at it three times with a powerhose, de-greaser and a wire brush, also I tried wd-40 and brillo pads. Am going to try diesel next. suggestions welcomed! the second pic is what it should look like, a light grey concrete like finish.

get some cellulose thinners on it, it will remove any grease

What about any truck firms locally, the ministry tests over here demands super clean chassis areas to inspect and most of them have some form of hot pressure blasting at their depots for cleaning, much more powerful and efficient than home based units...perhaps worth asking.

the truck isnt road legal yet, so that rules out driving it anywhere im afraid. will have a look at cellulose thinners, think i have some in fact
