how to connect disposable gas to welder (missing tube)?

Hi all,

Thanks for your advice already. I bought a Sealey 150 amp welder the other day. I was told it would come with a regulator for a disposable welder. Turns out it doesnt it has a full size regulator.
So i went to B&Q and bought a disposable bottle and a smaller regulator. Problem is i got it home and see that i need a small tube to connect the regulator up to the welder. But it doesnt come with one. I guess i also need some kind of adapter to go bettween the small tube i dont have and the 10mm Outside thickness tube i do have, which connects to the welder.

Any idea where i can get these bits from?

Not the answer you want to hear, but chuck the little regulator in the bin, and get a proper sized bottle!!

If you really want to stick with the little regulator, can you unscrew the push-fit connector and replace it with a barbed hose connector?

you really are taking a step backwards though.

yeah i would recommend getting a big bottle if you all ready have the regulator and everything, it will work out so much cheaper for you in the long run, those disposables have only a few mins worth of gas in them, a real waste of money.

I can honestly say that you will be disapointed with the disposable system, I would take it back to B&Q and check this out instead.

ok, thanks for the advice.

So id like to still find someone who will sell me the connector bits i need. Do shout if you know where i can get em.

But also, i take your point that a bigger bottle is probably the way to go anyway. I looked at the list of suppliers but there isnt anyone near me. Anyone know who i should contact for a supply around Chippenham area?

Joel, look at my list again, there are distributor finders for the 3 big suppliers, air products, BOC and air liquide or there's a rent-free agent in Swindon.
