IVE TRIED REALLY HARD TO USE ONLY STANDARD SECTIONS OF STEEL, SO THESE TUBES/BOX SECTIONS SHOULD BE AVAILABLE FROM MOST METAL MERCHANTS

I also tried to design the structure in a way that would provide plenty of weldable seams/joins (both on top and underneath the neck.

Not heard of the metal store but if the prices are similar to metals 4 u then you should google steel stockholders in your area because your paying over the odds.

metal stores not too bad but still not brilliant on price, metals4u well personally i think they are extremely over priced on everything! even when you make an order big enough for free carriage i've still managed to get loads more steel and pay for delivery (i cant transport 6m lengths) from my local stockholder.

worth having a search on here for the local stock holders in your area, there's a thread dedicated to it, thats how i found my local supplier.

Your not looking very hard then!
If you have money to burn, want to pay over the odds and can't be bothered to pick up the phone to ring a local stockholder then they are obviously the cheapest 4U.

Just checked again for my own curiosity and on my last order of Aluminium tube I would have paid just under double the total price if I had used Metals4u!
