A friend of mine had a 350 Sherpa rotting away in his shed, I'll have to go round and see if it's still there

You ought to I had a Factory Sherpa at the same time, cromoly frame, the lot, sold it for 100quid to a mate circa '79

20yrs ago I was passing a Bike shop with loads of Bultaco's outside I couldn't resist having a trip back in time. The first bike I saw was the same bike I had, he wanted 2.5k then doh!!

bultacos strange bikes i repaired one for a mate a 380 but if i remember rightly the gears and alike are on the wrong side and takes some getting used to.

once upon a time ALL bikes were like that

you have to think about it or as you attempt to change gear and speed up you would brake instead. i aint seen any for years until your post

The Pursang was Left side Gear change but the kickstart was lefthand side as well. ISTR Either KTM or sachs/Cam-Am were the last to put it on the left side

I remember Moto Morini had a L/H kick start, even Suzuki tried it on the GT380 / 550 triples
