How long will it last ?

Hi guys !

Can you tell me more less how long will this bottle

last for ? My plan is to weld 10 h a week

At ten hours a week i'd go for the larger 20 litre cylinder also listed there or you'l be forever getting refills.

A bit hard to guage as its depends an many variables for example some stuff requires only 3 lpm and others prefer to run 10 lpm
other factors are welding travel speed and material thickness as larger stuff requires more post flow again at a higher flow rate due to the thicker material,

So simply based on the flow rate used the cylinder could last 3 times longer?

9 litres @137bar is 1233 litres uncompressed.

Using at 8 lpm ish = 154mins = 2.57 hrs ish

20 litre = 5.7 hrs ish

I use the 20 L bottle, notice that is rated 200 Bar, so its capacity is almost 4 times the 9 L 137 Bar. I am not using it everyday but in my case it last for months... when you are tig welding you spend more time preparing materials grinding tungstens etc... you are not continuously tig welding.

If you are welding thin metal, typical flow is 5-6 LPM

Using it everyday 2 hours perhaps it could last near a month I guess.

coz sometimes just want to chill after work and not practicing .

That's 6 hours of "arc on" time, don't forget you will spend a lot more time prepping than welding.
