How long to spray enamel over epoxy

Hi how long do you need to wait after spraying epoxy primer can you spray enamel topcoat?

It's just Mipa 2 pack epoxy primer.

You need to read the TDS, rather than the internet.

I normally wet on wet with mipa after 20 to 30 mins. It's not often I do that though I normally cure then sand.

I can't remember the curing time so you will need to find the tds

Pretty sure the data sheet said no sooner than 60mins and then up to 14days, after that it needs to be roughed up

No point degrading the epoxy by blowing polyester primers over the top. You should go straight to colour coats, for the best performance.

Which mipa epoxy do you have?

Ep175 is recoatable up to 4hrs at 20degrees c

After that I'd let it cure and sand

Yeah it's the Grundierfiller stuff. I'm going to have to scuff it up now before I paint it with the enamel paint. I've never used enamel before so wondering how many hours between coats Is sufficient?

Are you sure? Everyone that I work with thinks that all the tech docs and manuals are just published to look pretty and use up spare trees.

SDS tend to be tedious unless you are Parm. TDS are like our bible.

Paint I got is off a local company and there are no instructions on the paint and their website is very vague. I tried contacting them but no response. So I'm trying to figure it out
