How hygienic is a fire extinguisher?

I believe the Cornelius kegs are a micro-brewery thing. Brewdexta could confirm?

I can Cornie kegs used to be used to dispense soft drinks in the drinks trade but were adopted by the home brewing community both over here and in the US and probably elsewhere. I've got half a dozen or so. They take about 5 gallon, all stainless internally, easy to clean and still readily available including spares.

I use them with a low pressure on already naturally carbonated beer, the pressure is just enough to keep a CO2 blanket on the beer to stop it going off and to force it out of the tap, usually about 5psi. Here's a few nestling under the CO2 gas regulator in the brewery but you can use soda stream style CO2 cartridges I believe, never tried though.

I have a stainless one, 1l. Makes great nitro coffee plus all sorts of other stuff. Pea foam is also tasty.

Or use a beer keg. But smallest is 30l.

That's a great idea, I see you can even get N2 canisters to fit them too. Still very pricey though.

Totally, never got me head round dry powder. Why? Can cause more probs than the flipping flames!
I have banned it,I have 7kg foam round the boat, and auto Halon replacement in the engine space. A bucket of sea or two wont do much harm either..

More dissing of dry powder..
I delivered a sailing vessel down to Portland, and she developed some weird slippage in the prop shaft, so was hauled out at Portland Marina.
She was only an old 10 ton yacht, (Nic 36) no room to swing a cat in the gearbox area.
The poor old ginger beer sqeezed his toolkit (and sizeable carcass) in there by various ingenious contortions, until he could get no further and was jammed, then he set to work on the offending shaft coupling.
Unfortunately, his elbow must of caught something and set off the auto dry powder extiguingisher, he wiggled out fast, but wiggle he must...
Come down the ladder bruised battered and bleeding.
Funny looking back on it, but i bet he soiled his solomons!
because dry powder is minging stuff in a confined space as well.
In fact I will alter 'minging' to ' potentially lethal' which is the point of that random dit.

id go for the whipped cream maker option if its viable, then you can use it to make whipped cream, or stick a balloon on the top and play the laughing gas game, just dispose of the canisters once your done with them and don't chuck them on the floor like the kids round here.
