how fast have we all travelled?

as per the title, what is the fastest anyone has achieved, whether it in a car, drag car, bike, boat etc?

I am not including airborne vehicles as that's fairly easy for everyone to jump on and say 'I did 500mph on the way to spain last year' lol

I plan on breaking 200mph on a mates hyabusa when we find a suitable place to do so. so far the max I have hit is an indicated 187 on the same mates cbr929rr

the fastest I have hit in a car was only 155 in a 728i, both of mine were on the autobahn but on separate occasions. I have met similar speeds in Britain but of course only on closed roads...

my mate did the same on his gsxr1000, 190ish mph and some idiot dropped a roundabout right in the middle of his track...

Down a steep hill on the back of a Triton at full bore with no crash helmet, it certainly felt like 1000 mph!

no, my missus father was driving. the needle said 155, although I am nut sure how accurate it was. certainly felt fast, but very calm fast

that's why the 728 stopped getting quicker, bloody germans, roads with no speed limit, but cars that are restricted...

I once and once only managed to get 72 out of my gilera dna 50 when I was 16. my mother had just moved house and I didn't have a clue where I was going at about half 9 at night, pitch black, no road lights and I managed to turn onto the m4...chin on the (pretend) tank, throttle pinned open and the last time I looked at the clock it read 72. in all fairness I had extensively tuned it, new rollers, clutch springs and upgraded clutch and belt, new head and upgraded piston, race (ha!) exhaust, stupidly expensive spark plug and a few other bits and pieces. got 65 out of it regularly which doesn't seem like much but it got there like a stabbed rat

I used to like playing with porsches when I had the bandit. used to love the ones with the boxters, roof down and a blonde in the passenger seat. I would be plodding along at the limit and they would come tearing up behind me, get way too close and flash the lights. would wait for them to pull out and try to overtake and then hold them out there. not a lot with 4 wheels keeps up with a 1200 bandit. can remember a bloke in a Rangie sport, the supercharged one, trying to bully me and my father out of the way. he wasn't too keen to play after being left for dead by 2 bikes on one wheel each
