how do you get the draws out of the clarke 'top box'

I have one of these cheap and cheerful top boxes https://www.machinemart.co.uk/p/ctc600-6-drawer-chest, although mine seems to be even cheaper as I don't have ball bearing runners.
something has fallen down the back of the draws and is now stuck meaning I cant push the draws in. ive had a look and I cant for the life of me figure out how to get the draws out.
has anyone done this before? on my snap on cabinet I just push 2 plastic levers down.

It may be like the older style Snap on ones two thin spring steel pieced slide inside the draw runners and release a spring clip

Some have two little levers on the runners to push, on mine you push one up and one down. On an old halfords set I had to push in a small metal tang that then allows clearance for the runner to come out.

On some of the cheap ones there's a detent formed in the side of the drawer it's self, put a small screwdriver through the runner to push it in as you pull the drawer past it.

Alternatively have you tried banging it up and down violently while swearing at it ?
I seems to work 50% of the time for me....

Reminds me of the scene from Malcolm In The Middle when Lois is try to open a stuck drawer by yanking on the handle, it finally opens then she slowly closes it to see why it wouldn't open and it sticks again!

it was the thing that I was looking for that came out the top draw and jammed down the back. I would never have thought to jam an old hacksaw blade down the side. good find!!!. i should have a few dead ones as i keep them for the air saw.

Should be a white/clear plastic lever that you push down on one side, push up on the other side. It is usually at the end of the ball-extendy-bit

my snap on box has the white plastic levers but sadly this old dinosaur does not.

Re-assembly may be more difficult

There is a small red tab toward the front of the drawer accessed via an oval slot in the runner.

Push it back with a screwdriver and you can pull the drawer fully out.

Don't forget to lever them back up again before you put the drawer back otherwise you get a surprise next time you pull the draw out! (Don't ask me how I know.....)

Remember to bend it back out when you're done or you'll drop a drawer full of tools down your legs. DAMHIKT.

When I've gotten drawers stuck before I managed to slide a steel rule in between them and move the obstruction.
