How do they measure triangular sanding pads, i.e 140 x 80?

I bought a sander and was told the pads were 140*80.
Looking at a sanding sheet for it, i can’t see any measurements that look like 140 or 80.

Rocktor, well something like that. Its the cheapest sander in toolstation.
There were nor any pads between 80 and 240 grit listed for it. i just went and bought some pads that are larger, well the numbers should have made them larger but they are in fact the right size. and i got to go boom boom, boom booming.

OK. It is classed as a delta sander.

There are only two sizes of pad for delta sanders, and one of them is equal-sided of characteristic dimension 93mm.

You need the other one, and the brand names (Mirka, Norton) generally call the pads 100 x 150-152
