Old man wired this Schneider starter up that I found in the skip. It had a 110v lead on it.
he has tried his 240v linisher on it and it worked then let the blue smoke out.
how do I test what is broken and can I wire this up to a small three phase drill.
The unit is a Schneider LE1D09U7.
The contractor is an LC1D09 and the overload is LRD10.
If I can test it and it still works I’ll need help wiring it haha.

they charge 60 quid for a poxy nightstore thermostat that can be made for 10 quid
when I started in the 70's you could buy refurb kits with replacement springs, fixed and moving contacts etc. to overhaul contactors.
