How do I attach a steam hose?

I've connected my 3HP 14cfm compressor pump to my cylinder (which is suspended from garage ceiling) with steam hose. The connectors on my compressor and cylinder look like 3/4 BSP and I've used "tail ends" to go from the 3/4 bsp thread to the steam hose. But it's not holding, the hose slips off under pressure.

I was thinking of ditching the jubilee clips for these sort of more serious clamps. Or is there a better way?

u can use nippers if you dont have the tool

Not suggesting that you should splash out on one of these but a bead on the spigot to give the worm drive clip something to react against may be the answer

Steel pipe ? weld a bead round it

You need the type of clamp used on 1" airline bagging. The type used on road compressors.

I've 1" braided pipe running round the workshop, and found Eared P clips, didn't work neither did doubling up on worndrive bands.

Something like these.
