as above really...need to know how to work out if a tyre will safely fit on a wheel...
Are you talking about the width of the rim v's width of the tyre?
The tyre you want is 3/4 in bigger then recommended, try one and see how it looksthats what im worried about
We have 215 section BFG ATs on 5.5" wheels but that's the absolute minimum the manufacturer quotes. I suspect that 235 on 6" will be too much of a squeeze.
Why not stick with 7.50 x 16 ?
I will GIVE you / "Free to Collector" a set of five LWB Land Rover rims with aggressive 7.50 road tyres. Tyres - two good, 1 reasonable, I acceptable (passed MOT) and spare needing replacement.
They are Michelins like these -
