Hmm, 18yr old religious car (holey), my kind of territory...
Worth £2,000 on a good day (not today)
Worth £200 on a bad day (today is that day)
If it was my car & otherwise perfect I'd weld it & keep it - but I have the kit, retired and can afford to take my time.
Maybe 1st you should buy that next car you know you reallywant need, then at least you're not stuck without transport just in case this one turns into a nightmare...
Then if you do manage to fix it, it's either a good backup car or, with a new MoT, worth more to sell it on.
