Hotter propane torch

Having a flat roofing company i use an insane amount of propane this time of year with drying the roofs each day after a nights rain...this costs not only propane money but i may lose 2 hours each day with 3 men on the jobs just drying before each application. I may of cracked it with this modified gas torch (prototype version LOL) it uses half the gas pressure but gives me 3 times the heat by introducing 60 psi of commpressed air into the gas line behind the trigger valve,the sound is amazing too and drys and burns the felt decks in no time.Small compresser on the ground and 150ft of pipe upto the working areas.This is going to save a fortune in gas and time once ive rigged a couple up properly.

So, all you've actually done is add the air supply in and by the looks of it drilled the shroud at the nozzle end as well?
Looks too easy!
I wonder how much gas is being consumed - you say half the pressure but it'll be interesting to see what it does to the flow rate.

yes..add air to the gas line,you can see as i just have a single nozzle pipe down from the trigger control...it uses half propane pressure and as i said 3 times the heat and pressure. ile try up-load a vid at the w/end to prove my idea. i had to drill out the nozzle as shown to introduce more air post-nozzle iff you get my meaning and as each hole was drilled the combustion got better.

sounds like a version of the natural gas and compressed air brazing hearths, just adapting it for your needs
