Hot glue dent removal

So this little lot just turned up.

A smidge under £60 posted so if it removes 2 dings it's more than paid for itself.
Planning on practising on mrs W's disco before having a go at my own car.
I'll post some before and after shots but only if it's successful.

Have you seen the demo's of the painless dent removal, where they massage the dents out from the back side using various ball ended rods etc?

I've seen those too, some have magnets in them so you can trace the movement using a ball bearing on the outside of the panel.
I've got a couple of small trolley/door dings in my new-to-me car which I'd like to have a go at but there's a tiny one on a swage line which will need to be professionally done with rods.

I've dabbled with this using glue sticks, I did a roof that someone had been wearing stilettos on, in reality probably putting bikes on a roof rack.

The thing I found was a hot day was a nuisance, it worked better when the roof was cold. Apart from that it was pretty good. I was only mucking about really and if I had access behind I wouldn't bother but could be handy on some stuff.

I have watched quite a few of the painless dent removal, but not seen any with the ball bearing tracer, great idea, The video's that i watched they just used a light source that projected lines onto the panel.

My Mrs' dad is a dinger, really talented.

He did 3 tiny ones on her old car door in less than 10 seconds each. He also took one out of my old car the size of half a tennis ball on the door.

You get them the best you can then blend in when you can't get any more. He has a mirror with lines on to look at its reflection to see how you are getting on. To blend is a nylon punch which you hit with a hammer. You then have various bars, glue gun, sliding hammer etc.

Ebay, I had it in my basket for ages then got an email saying it was reduced so pulled the trigger.
It'g got a slide hammer, hand puller, bridge, mini-lifter, glue gun, sticks, hammer, punch with loads of heads, line board, suction cup mounting, loads of mushroom ends etc and it all comes in a zip-up bag.
Amazing amount of kit for the money.

I just need to get some 91% isopropanol now to remove the glue.

No but a friend of ours does paintless dent removal

I may have to get one of these the wifes door is a mess but i'm the only one that can notice the dinks. Knowing me i will make it worse.

A good tool is a few small hot water bottles from the pound shop and drill a hole in the neck fit a tyre valve and a foot pump or compressor and blow gun, various bits of sizes of wood, you slip the bottle in between the dent and against wood on the other side, you just blow the hot water bottle up to get dents out of doors back panels etc. I use my wind bag hand pump for some small ones but they are limited to the pressure

I do admire the dinging guys ,you cant expect miracles ,wheelie bin hit the wifes door so i gave our local lad a try, suzuki metal stretched couldnt do much with it, so i ended up repairing it myself.

I have tried a smaller version of these sets ages ago and they work well, I might get one from ebay now i have seen that set, They did look a bit Anne summer there for a second not that i would know what was on pages 62-64 of the summer range..... and they glue i used was on pads and peeled away quite of, I do know of a chap that used some epoxy to stick the puller on with and made more mess
