Hose coupling indentification

I picked up an old sludge pump today and can't seem to find out what sort of couplings to use on the inlet and outlet so I can plumb it into a bucket/tank for show purposes.

This one is 2" OD

and this one is 3" OD

I can give measurements for the lands etc. if needed.

I would of thought it would just be push fit with jubilee clip or something similar to hold it in place either payday hose or plastic reenforced

I would expect it to have barbs if that was the case, I thought it used something similar to the fire service hose couplings that have a sprung pin that engages in the slot/groove?, just trying to find out what they're called.

I think it will be the same couplings as the light weight water pumps use, smaller version of the fire hose couplings. We might have a couple lying about to measure, won’t be till Monday though

The grove it has will be were the clip fits to allow it to pull in tighter

Theres a fitting for them. It's a aluminum fitting that slips over with 2 levers normally made from brass that close into the grove to lock it on. Cannot think of the name of it though and cant find it on google

Apparently the pumps are still made under a different name and powered by Honda engines so I'm hoping the imperial couplings are still available.

Thanks for the clue, I saw something earlier, a leverlock coupling, is that what you mean?

That's different, that's a copy of 'Bauer' fittings.

I've sent one of the pics to my work email, on Monday I'll send it to the co. we have pumps from, see what they can come up with. As said I wonder if its an early type of push-fit before someone thought of barbs.

They probably date from the 70's if that's any help with you suppliers. Thanks for looking.

Just showed this to someone that works in a hire shop, he reckons there isn't a fitting for them that its for a pipe to slip over and clamped with something like this

As above I think it is just pipe connector, if used as the outlet then it just a slip on with clip, on some simple pumps the lay flat then will work as one of the valves.
IE you have to use layflat on the outlet

I disconnected the pump today to try the engine, but it has no spark so further investigation is required. Dragged out a Villiers C12 (very similar engine) and fired that up OK so thought about swapping the reduction box over to test the pump but the output shaft is too long

Just had a message from my mate, he says the clamps that came with them style of pumps were more like this, a hinged clamp made of brass. They replaced them with steel ones as the brass ones used to go walkies. He says he'll have a root for me and see if he can find 2.
