Hi. I recently purchased a tank and regulator to run my clarke on gas. Problem: The regulator has a soft 3/8 diam. hose and the welder has a like f1/4 diam hard line. I have no idea how to join the two and any help would be appreciated. I don't want to hook it up just to have a leak right away.

no sorry take along the regulator and pipe plus a small sample of the nylon tube

mine is clamped into the rubber hose but the nylon tube just pushes in and then you pusth the collar back to release the nylon tube

In the uk these kits are available to connect full size tanks to the 4mm plastic pipe on the welder. The fitting on the end is a push fit pneumatic type fitting.
The fittings "the snooper" linked to should sort it if you can get hold of one.
