Honda Goldwing. Is there a good specialist forum?

Motorcycle dealer friend of mine asked me to go and diagnose a radio problem. It was deaf and scratchy. I asked him to select Radio 2 on 89.00 or Classic FM on 100.4MHz. It couldn't be done because it would only tune the odd KHz rather than the evens. So that was the diagnosis and it then emerged that it was actually an American import. He had already downloaded the UK mapping updates but it didn't occur to him that the radio needed doing too.

What I need to know is if there is a simple reconfiguration option, a software update or whether it has to have the radio replaced full stop?
I have done quite a bit of searching and so far have found nothing useful, so perhaps someone knows of a good, specialist forum where I can pose the question please?

I had the same problem with the Chevy Blazer that I had. The guy I sold it to replaced the radio with a uk one and has no problems since. I've no idea when it comes to electronics and black arts of that ilk so the easiest and possibly cheapest is to get a new /second hand head unit .

When i used to buy Jap imports the only station that we could receive was R2...tried all kinds of channel expanders but they were mostly snake oil and the cars needed a unit change.

Jap radios stop at about 90mhz, usa ones have different stepping so cant quite land on uk stations

Depending entirely on the maker, but it might be a world radio and easily set for different markets by the simple flick of a dip switch internally.
