Homemade Hatchet aka scrapchet

Here is a little homemade hatchet fabricated up from mild steel scrap with an en9 carbon steel bit welded on for the cutting edge. Its been well used and has stood up to some pretty heavy work.This was the first one i made but ive made quite a few since and have refined them a bit. Its got a fire steel in the handle and a homemade leather mask and the handle came from a section of a whindblown ash tree from the local wood.
