Little 'quick' project I started last week, in preparation for ordering the alloy coolant tubing for the V8 trike. Quick and easy, only need to bead a dozen times or more..... turned into several days messing about. Predictably enough.
The grooved roller bearing came off ebay, and it's screwed to a square sliding block inside the top tube. With a 10mm bolt to push it down. Bottom roller is a bit of steel off-cut turned on the lathe.
Bottom bracket is just to mount in the vice, hence the partial weld.
I've not ordered the tube yet, but I ran some 1mm steel sheet through it and it did its job adequately enough.
