Quite easy, bend the former from similar, or slightly thicker, strip to the scrolls needed. Then weld the former to a decent bit of angle to hold in the vice. Welding it down makes it strong enough to withstand the bending forces involved in production. This way, you can get any design you like, rather than Sealey's. Bit cheaper toonice work, its something im wanting to do but dont know where to start so will probably end up buying the sealey set..

Bend a former to bend the former on?think my issue would be how to bend it to shape to form the former, how did you go about it?

Weld 2 bits of say 12mm rod with a gap between, grip in the vice, use to bend the strip bit by bit. Used to be called scrolling horns.

Nice if you have a plasma.. and avoids the 'two piece' type needed if the scroll is more than 360 deg.I prefer the profiled plate type. The little red one is a bought jobbie and the bigger one I cut myself.

Am gonna ask,but how do you draw a scroll like that so perfect?
Definitely spring back, but how much will depend on the metal.
A wild guess; black ms 10%, bright 30%, stainless 50% etc.
Try a test piece.
Pull round a 3" rad (6" pipe ) and measure what it springs out to, then make your jig accordingly.
Easier to over bend, then open the bend up, than under bend and have to bend more.
