no it wraps round the end and both ends clamped at the handle so you can use both sidesItems like this come in handy. Is the opposite end glued?
I understand that a round handle is more comfortable, but invariably the handles on my files keep coming off.good idea
but my advice make the handle into a point like the steel files have and fit a round handle
On a file with steel tang, heat it to red hot with blow torch before pushing it into the handle and tapping it down. The heat swells the handle while bonding it, should never come off.I understand that a round handle is more comfortable, but invariably the handles on my files keep coming off.
